LM XXVIII Energy & Environment Day

This full-day session focuses on building awareness of local environmental issues and how human activity affects natural resources, energy systems, and overall quality of life. Participants will hear from experts on topics such as groundwater, weather impacts, energy challenges, land use, and environmental sustainability.
The agenda combines presentations with site visits, including a landfill, winery, wastewater treatment plant, and park, offering hands-on insight into waste management, agriculture, water treatment, and conservation efforts. Throughout the day, attendees will also engage in discussions and networking while exploring real-world environmental practices across the county.

LM XXVIII Leadership & Community Service Day

This session focuses on using the Leadership Macomb experience to inspire community involvement and make a meaningful local impact. The morning includes presentations and discussions on nonprofit work, community engagement, and leadership opportunities, followed by a panel highlighting real-world experiences in service and advocacy.
In the afternoon, participants put these ideas into action by taking part in a hands-on community service project, sorting food at the Macomb Food Program warehouse.

You’re invited to an evening of celebration honoring our most recent cohort, Leadership Macomb Class XXVIII. Enjoy a buffet dinner, cash bar, and an engaging program highlighting the Leadership Macomb experience. The night also offers valuable networking opportunities and the chance to support the youth in our community by contributing to the Junior Leadership Macomb Scholarship Fund.
