municipalities and county agencies is presented.
The arts are an important part of every community. Their contribution to the quality of life
of residents and their importance to economic development are discussed.
Health and Human Services - November 14, 2007
Examines the challenges of providing health and human services to all sectors of the
community.
Issues with regards to education and workforce development are presented and the
community’s role in these processes is discussed.
Offers participants the opportunity to explore the value of our cultural differences and
review the issues presented throughout the nine month program.
Participants will hear from and interact with Macomb County leaders. They will also gain
insight into their own leadership.
Explores national and regional trends in business, manufacturing and technology and
presents how those trends impact our workforce.
Offers an overview of the criminal justice system and provides participants with an
overview of court-connected programs and alternative justice system.
The environmental issues facing the region with regards to water quality, land use and
brownfield development are presented.
Participants have the opportunity to make an impact on the community in which they live
and work by taking part in a community service project.
Commencement is an evening event that celebrates the achievement of our participants.
