Leadership Macomb is a non-profit organization whose nine-month program brings together leaders from numerous institutions, disciplines and geographic areas to strengthen their leadership skills, develop long-term business relationships, and obtain in depth information about Macomb County.

2008 Leadership Award Given to Mark Hackel
John Nitz, President of Leadership Macomb, Inc. presented Mark Hackel with the 2008 Leadership Award. The award is given to an individual that has demonstrated exceptional leadership in Macomb County and has supported Leadership Macomb. Prior recipients of the Leadership Macomb Leadership Award were Nancy White, Chair of the Macomb County Commissioners in 2006, and Al Lorenzo, President of Macomb Community College in 2007.
